Amici – Italian Day Drinking

Coming soon: your new favourite Italian day bar north of the Alps! Amici Munich is turning into the place to be for that certain Dolce Far Niente feeling that you’ve been longing for.

2023

At Amici day bar Munich, the "Dolce Far Niente" is written in capital letters – that unbearable lightness of being that everyone north of the Alps secretly longs for. This feeling you get when your skin smells of sunshine and you start or end the day on a random piazza in Italy: A certain laissez-faire where everyday life takes a back seat and all that matters is which olives you order for your next aperitivo while the sun disappears between the still-warm walls of the city.

Amici and its team live the Italian lightness and joie de vivre and develop their own culture through this mindset and the values they live by.

The corporate colours of Amici are best described in pictures: Earthy, natural tones of an Italian piazza meet cool maritime blue as a base, while strong orange-red – like the setting sun of Tuscany or a refreshing glass of Aperol Spritz – forms an accent to the more muted tones.

The choice of materials in the Amici interior is also naturally inspired by Bella Italia: natural, earthy, inviting, exciting. Stones such as travertine, dark marble, wood and terrazzo form the basis of the flooring in the day bar. Tiles and wall coatings in the blue-green Amici tones form a cool contrast, while furniture made of natural materials such as rattan, rugs made of woven jute and warm brass fittings emphasise the basic tones. Accents can be set primarily in the choice of fabrics: Cushion covers made from coarser fabrics such as linen round off the Amici look in bold Arancio red, for example.

To illustrate the Dolce Far Niente vibe, various illustrations are created in the style of retro posters of Italian drinks brands, in which the Amici colours are reflected.
